Note:

I Love Lucy, of course, invented and defined the television syndication industry by filming its shows at a time when most television was done live, thus leaving a legacy of quality prints which are still being rerun around the world today, more than four decades after they were made. Other programs of the day, if available at all, are available only in inferior kinescopes filmed from a television tube while the show was broadcast live.

The We Love Lucy package consists of half-hour two-part re-edits of a series of 13 one-hour Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour specials involving the I Love Lucy characters and various Hollywood celebrities. The original shows were aired intermittently beginning November 6, 1957, most as part of the anthology series Desilu Playhouse. The dates included on the We Love Lucy title listing indicate when the original hour-long programs first aired. There are 26 half-hours in the Viacom package.
